2. Education & Early Career

In 1996, Li Kaifeng enrolled in the Department of Economics and Management at Southwest Jiaotong University. Upon graduation in 2000, he joined Sichuan Yiyuan Group, engaging in systematic learning and practice in urban–rural planning and architectural landscape design. He participated in numerous large-scale scenic area developments, urban public spaces, and architectural landscape projects.

Through extensive, hands-on experience, he gradually formed a “three-in-one” professional capability framework:

  • Empowering spatial design with cultural narratives
  • Ensuring project implementation with engineering thinking
  • Anticipating industry deployment with a business-oriented perspective

This integrated skill set laid a unique foundation for his future cross-sector expansion and industrial integration.

3. Entrepreneurship & Corporate Growth

2010 – Founded Lupo Asia Architectural Landscape Design Co., Ltd. in Chengdu. The brand name “Lupo” comes from the Italian word lupo (“wolf”), symbolizing keen insight, decisive action, teamwork, and enduring resilience — values that became the core of the company’s culture.

2012 – Expanded operations to Xinjiang, establishing a dual-base structure between Sichuan and Xinjiang, undertaking city landscapes, tourism planning, public spaces, and architectural landscape projects.

2012–2015 – Projects spanned Sichuan, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Tibet, and multiple prefectures in Xinjiang, with annual output exceeding RMB 30 million, establishing a leading position in the regional design sector.

2016 – Led the transformation from “design consultancy” to “cultural tourism industry development,” renaming the company Lupo Asia Culture & Tourism (Chengdu) Development Co., Ltd. and introducing the EPCO model (Engineering – Planning – Construction – Operation) to provide full lifecycle cultural tourism services.

2017 – Listed on the Tianfu (Sichuan) United Equity Exchange’s Dual Innovation Board (Code: 810497), launched Southeast Asia market layout, and participated in the Malaysia–China Kuantan Industrial Park planning, gaining cross-border collaboration experience.

2023 – Appointed as a member of the Xinjiang Federation of Social Science Circles and President of the Xinjiang Runnong Rural Industry Research Institute, expanding into rural revitalization, digital agriculture, smart tourism, and sustainable development.

2024 – Joined the CECU Entrepreneurs Club Council, integrating high-end industrial and capital resources across China and building cross-regional cooperation networks.

2025 – Appointed Vice President of MCTIRI, advancing China–Malaysia cultural tourism investment and operations, fostering Belt and Road cultural exchanges and industrial collaboration, and expanding into the low-altitude tourism sector.
